Why Young Minds is Different
At Young Minds Foundation, we don't just write checks and hope for the best. We believe the heart of youth development lies in the strength of local communities. That's why we take a hands-on approach: we meet with small, grassroots organizations, train their boards and staff, help them build sustainable structures, AND provide funding. The result? Small programs in underserved communities become more effective, reaching more young people with greater impact. Growing up is hard. We’re here to make it a little easier.

Our 4 Step Process
Discover - We find passionate programs in underserved communities making impact with limited resources
Assess - We meet in person to understand their mission, challenges, and potential
Strengthen - We provide board governance training, organizational development, and budgeting support
Fund & Follow - We provide grants up to $5,000 and continue mentoring to ensure lasting impact
Mentoring for Grassroots Nonprofits
The Young Minds Foundation's Small Programs Initiative equips small nonprofits with essential tools and mentoring support. We work directly with boards, staff, and volunteers to build core competencies in nonprofit leadership, governance, fundraising, and sustainability.
